Let’s talk feels- the kind of feels you can touch. As designers, we’ve been seeing a resurgence in texture lately. For example, we’re using a lot of 3D tiles and 3D wallpaper in our designs. No more running your hand along a flat surface. Taking this texture design one step further, we’ve got this really great product in our showroom: leather.
EcoDomo is the expert in recycled and hide leather surfacing. We’re talking about leather everything from countertops to bar tops to drawer fronts to paneled walls. We have the opportunity to use these leather products on even a countertop or floor. It’s a great opportunity to really be creative in your home.
One of the applications EcoDomo has is called RLV, which is a recycled leather veneer. It’s eight pieces of leather made into a single layer with latex, so it flexes and bends. It’s a lot more robust. That’s why it’s perfect for flooring applications or at the end of those countertops.
One of the interesting things about EcoDomo’s leather products is that it gives us the opportunity to add a soft quality to the space since most spaces are covered with hard surfaces. Adding a soft element helps with sound and helps warm up the space visually because you’re not dealing with marbles and granites and tiles everywhere.
Another cool feature about EcoDomo is the ability to color match. For example, if you wanted to do something in Tiffany blue to match your Tiffany blue cabinets, they can color match that. We’re able really customize any application.
