Landings Kitchen Upgrade

It’s a small but a much needed upgrade in this second-floor unit in The Landings. The homeowners were excited when they bought this unit but were less enthusiastic about its 1980s cookie-cutter kitchen. The kitchen included a mix of wood and plastic cabinets and countertops that were very common in kitchens built in the’80s and ’90s. This long overdue remodel replaced these outdated materials with a much more modern look.

Medallion Cabinetry

Elegant and stylish white is the focal point here. We replaced the cabinets with Medallion Cabinetry with an equally elegant and stylish finish called Magnolia. A brown finish called Boulder on the cabinets at the new bar contrasts the white. The countertop throughout is a marble-looking quartz called Arno. Arno features a warm white backdrop enhanced by thin gray veins and gold accents. The backsplash is a light blue ceramic wall tile called Albatross Sky.

As mentioned above, the bar is a new feature of this kitchen. A wall with a passthrough originally made up one side of the kitchen. That entire wall came down to become the bar. This gives the homeowner a better view of the main living area. This means the small wall jutting out from between the fridge and passthrough was as well. It wasn’t necessary at all for that to be there.

New Flooring

The last piece to the updating in place puzzle is the flooring. To update the kitchen floor meant updating the rest of the main floor. We did that with a dark brown luxury vinyl plank flooring called Chateau Dusk. With a new floor weaving throughout the unit, it looks like more than just the kitchen was revamped.
