Matching Sophisticated

Their kitchen didn’t quite match the rest of the sophisticated interior. With stone-like ceramic throughout, Gulf-side views from the spacious great room, and custom walk-in closets for him and her, the homeowners realized their kitchen desperately needed a modern upgrade to match. We’re about to begin just that in this ninth-floor condo in the Orchid Beach Club in this Lido Key interior.

Dark to Bright Kitchen

The chef’s kitchen currently has a center island for prep, granite counters, an eat-at bar, custom cabinetry, and an adjoining breakfast nook. The light brown cabinets will become Elmwood Custom Cabinetry with a satin white finish and will be a bit bigger than they are now.

Cabinets in outdated kitchen

The black granite countertops will become Britannica Quartz, a creamy marbled background of neutral white, and will run up the wall from the countertops to the bottom of the upper cabinets as the backsplash. We’ll also be book matching the veining in the quartz from countertop to wall.

The soffit lights above the cabinets will be removed, and we’ll be patching up the ceiling above the peninsula where a chandelier was originally hanging. We’ll also be demoing the end of the knee wall leading into the breakfast area for a bigger entryway. The knee wall itself will be cut down to allow for all counter-height countertops.

Finishing Touches

Finishing touches of this Lido Key interior include moving the microwave to the island, under cabinet lighting, and a new hood. With the lighter and sleeker finishes, this kitchen remodel is a recipe for success for a space just as sophisticated and contemporary as the rest.
