Brighten Up Your Bath

The overall goal of this Misty Creek Country Club master bath remodel was to brighten up the space. Dark cherry cabinets and matching wallpaper originally covered this entire bathroom. With the new soft-close custom cabinets in Oyster, a light gray with a touch of green and beige, we brought more of a transitional design into this master bath to make it feel fresher and more coastal.

No More Tub

In one corner was a Roman marble shower and in the other was a separate tub. We removed the tub completely since the homeowners never really used it as it was too much of a slip hazard for them. In place of this tub, the homeowners wanted more of a seating area and a larger space for the vanity that has a Pompeii Quartz Serenata marble-look tile and polished nickel hardware. The removal of the tub gave them a much more functional usage of the space. We made sure to save the chandelier though!

The shower stayed in the same footprint but looks entirely different. The creamy shower wall tile is a luxurious contemporary design that interrupts the minimalistic simplicity of stone called Atlas Marvel Bianco Dolomite, and the shower floor tile here is a marble-look Stratus Oro Diamond mosaic etched with gold and gray veining. The shower niche is Alpine White Rhomboid Imperial tile.

Abstract Wallpaper

Bringing the room altogether is the Sterlina Ivory floor tile and the new wallpaper on the exposed walls. The wallpaper is a textured watercolor abstract design vinyl wallpaper on a faux grass cloth ground in hues of taupe with a shimmering metallic silver overlay. With everything in place, the master bath looks so much brighter, exactly want the homeowner wanted.
