Small But Stylish in Sarasota Master Bath Makeover

Simple Yet Elegant Upgrade

The vision was for this small Sarasota master bath in the Carlyle at the Villages to have quality and low maintenance for a simple yet elegant upgrade this 2001 home. The size of the bathroom is sometimes the biggest challenge a remodeler might have, but the right team can take any bathroom and design and build a stylish and functional space, as evident with this project.

Glossy Cabinets & Swirling Tops

The cabinetry comes from Cabico, specifically their Unique Series. The Unique line is custom and very on-trend with color, finishes, and door styles. The cabinets in this small bath have a white interior finish and a gleaming, shiny black exterior called Mystique Gloss.

Chrome hardware compliments the dark surfaces of the cabinets. The countertops are Pompeii Quartz called White Fusion, which is a swirl of white and black. Pompeii Quartz is made with natural stone products and makes every effort to keep color variation to a minimum.

Twilight Shower Tile

Matching the black cabinetry are the black waves in the porcelain tile of the shower. This tile is from Happy Floors’ Macaubas collection and is called Twilight. We laid the tile in a stack pattern in the shower. Inspired by exotic Brazilian granite, Macaubas is a collection that is endlessly impressive. Its wide variety of values and tones embolden the high movement designs.

The collection’s eccentric look and surprising color varieties make Macaubas very unique. This Twilight tile in this shower we designed climbs from the floor to the ceiling and borders a double niche and half wall. There is also a comfortable bench seat. The shower finishes with the same porcelain tile in a lighter Pearl finish around a long, linear drain and a frameless shower enclosure.

Rounding out the remodel is the new pocket door for the closet and the flooring. The flooring we installed here is Aqua Resilience Top Wood in Grigio. This flooring is a high-end luxury vinyl with variating graining and color throughout.
